Terms of service
By using this site or buying anything on it, you agree to what follows. It is short on purpose.
What you are buying
Digital files: workbooks, templates and written guidance, delivered by download. Nothing physical ships. Books sold on Amazon are governed by Amazon's terms, not these.
What licence comes with a toolkit
A single toolkit purchase licences one organisation to use the files internally, without limit on how many of your own staff open them. You may adapt them, put your own logo on them, and use the outputs in your own governance documents and board papers. That is what they are for.
What the licence does not permit: reselling the files, publishing them outside your organisation, using them to deliver paid consulting to third parties, or including them in a product you sell. If you are a consultancy and want to use these with your clients, that is the enterprise licence, and you should email us.
The licence is perpetual. If we stop publishing tomorrow, what you have downloaded remains yours to use.
Your account
Access to your library is by a sign-in link sent to the email address you bought with. Keep that inbox secure, because anyone with access to it can reach your downloads. Tell us if you need the address changed.
What this is not
Everything published here is operational and educational guidance for organisations. It is not clinical advice, legal advice, regulatory advice or financial advice, and it does not create a practitioner relationship of any kind. The Institute is not your lawyer, your compliance officer or your clinician.
Whether a given AI deployment is safe, lawful and appropriate in your setting is a judgement only you and your own advisers can make, with knowledge of your patients, your jurisdiction and your systems. A readiness score is an instrument for structuring that judgement. It is not a certification, it is not an approval, and no score obtained here means any regulator or accreditor will agree with you.
The vendor review library
Our vendor assessments are opinions about the completeness of a product's public record, formed on our published method, on the date stated on each page. We do not test, trial or benchmark products, and we make no claim about any product's clinical performance, safety or regulatory compliance. A score of zero on any dimension means we found nothing published on that date. It is a statement about the public record and not about the product.
No reliance. Assessments are general information. They are not procurement advice, clinical advice, legal advice or regulatory advice, and they are not a recommendation to buy, avoid or discontinue anything. A score says nothing about how a product will perform in your setting. Do your own diligence and take your own professional advice before you buy. Nothing in the review library creates a duty of care to you or to anyone else, and we are not liable for any procurement decision you make.
Vendors. Every vendor is offered 48 hours before publication to identify factual errors, is entitled to submit a response we publish in full alongside the assessment, and can have any established error corrected within one working day. That process is set out in the review policy and is open to anyone, free, at [email protected]. Product names and trade marks referred to belong to their owners and are used for identification and commentary.
Accuracy
We source every figure we publish and date it. Healthcare regulation and vendor behaviour both change faster than a book can be reprinted, so verify anything time-sensitive against the primary source before you act on it. If you find an error, tell us: corrections run in the next issue of the newsletter, in the open.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising out of this site or anything bought on it is limited to what you actually paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break into the site, scrape it wholesale, or resell access to it. Ordinary reading, quoting with attribution, and linking are all welcome and need no permission.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date at the top will change and material changes will be mentioned in the newsletter. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States.
