What can you actually verify about this tool?
What healthcare AI vendors have published about their products, and what they have not, across six things a buyer can check without asking anyone for permission.
We do not test these products and we never claim to. We record what is on the public record, because that is what you can put in front of a board, a regulator or an insurer. We publish the findings and their sources rather than a rating, so every line is something you can check yourself in a few minutes. Read the method first, and the review policy if you want to know how vendors are handled.
Looking for a specific product? Start in the Transparency Registry — 558 FDA clearances under AI-associated product codes, searchable by device and company, refreshed weekly. The registry holds the verifiable facts per product; the evidence landscapes below hold the category-level analysis. What we deliberately do not publish is opinion reviews of named vendors — the facts, sourced, are the review.
The Institute accepts no vendor sponsorship, holds no vendor equity and takes no referral fees. No vendor can pay to be reviewed, to be reviewed sooner, to be reviewed favourably, or to be left out.
The method and the tools
How we score vendors
The RUAIH Vendor Score method in full: six dimensions, four levels, and every scoring rule — published so a vendor, a buyer or a critic can argue with it before anyone relies on a number.
Due diligence checklist
An interactive procurement checklist aligned to the six dimensions. Check what you can verify, note what you cannot, download the result. Free, un-gated, runs entirely in your browser.
How to use the review library
A practical guide for CMIOs, CIOs and governance committees: what a review tells you, how to read each dimension, and how to take a score into a contract negotiation.
Review policy
Independence, sourcing standards, the 48-hour vendor fact-check window, corrections, right of reply and re-scoring rules — published so a vendor who does not like a score can check whether we followed our own rules.
Evidence landscapes
Category-level research on the state of published evidence across healthcare AI — what has been independently validated, where the regulatory picture stands, and where the gaps sit. These are not vendor reviews. They are the research base a buyer needs before evaluating any product in the category.
Ambient clinical documentation AI
What the published evidence says about AI-generated clinical notes, where independent validation is sparse, and the questions a buyer should take into any demo.
Revenue cycle AI
The evidence record for AI in prior authorisation, coding and denial management — what has been measured, what has only been claimed, and what a buyer can actually verify.
Vendor reviews
The method went up before any product was checked against it, on purpose, so that the standard cannot be accused of having been shaped around its first subject.
Product reviews publish from here as they are completed. Each one scores a named product against the six dimensions, with every finding sourced and dated. If you want them as they land, the newsletter carries each one the week it goes up.

The Operations Edge
One operational argument a week, what broke, what the numbers said, and the instrument that would have caught it. Written for people who have to implement rather than opine.
