Two different questions hide inside this one, and only one of them can be answered today.
The certification fee: not published
The Joint Commission has not published RUAIH fees as of this page’s review date. Its certification programmes generally price by programme and organisation size, but nothing RUAIH-specific exists in the public record — and this site does not print invented numbers. When the fee schedule publishes, this page will carry it, with the date.
The preparation cost: mostly a function of your start date
The controllable cost is not the fee — it is the work of becoming certifiable, and that work prices very differently depending on when it starts.
The compressed version is what organisations buy when they wait for the standards manual and a survey date: consultant-assisted evidence reconstruction, committee formation under deadline, and the discovery that the most important evidence — a history of performance monitoring, a record of training, minutes of governance decisions — cannot be produced retroactively at any price.
The calm version is a standing agenda item started during the quiet period: the charter drafted once, the inventory registered, one model’s baseline locked and attested quarterly. Most of its cost is attention rather than money — and every quarter it runs, it produces the exact class of evidence the compressed version cannot buy.
The arithmetic is not subtle. What is subtle is that the window for the calm version closes on the day the manual publishes, because that is the day every board in the country asks its compliance officer the same question at once.
